Our Story

3 Eagle Farm began with a simple dream: to build a life rooted in land, animals, and tradition.

Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, our journey to farming wasn't a straight line, but it eventually led us to Culpeper, Virginia, where we found the space and community to turn that dream into reality. As a first-generation, woman-owned farm, we've built this operation from the ground up, learning as we go and leaning into the challenges that come with raising livestock the right way.

3 Eagle Farm is a passion project rather than our full-time work — it's the place we pour our early mornings, evenings, and weekends into because we believe in what it teaches and what it preserves. We chose heritage breeds deliberately. In a world of industrial agriculture and shrinking genetic diversity, breeds like our Bourbon Red Turkeys, Shetland Sheep, Nubian Dairy Goats, and Belted Galloway Cattle represent something worth preserving. These animals are bred for hardiness, flavor, and adaptability rather than just speed to market.

This farm is also where our kids are growing up. They're active 4-H participants, raising and showing their own animals, and learning firsthand what it means to be responsible for another living thing — the early mornings, the setbacks, the pride of a job done right. We can't think of a better classroom.

Every day on the farm looks a little different, whether it's lamb watch, a dairy goat show, or just the steady rhythm of morning chores. We're grateful for the chance to do this work, and even more grateful for the people who support small, sustainable farms like ours.
